Mobility in Erlangen

Bike

The fastest way is normally to use a bike. Besides this, it is good for your environment, keeps you fit and is quite cheap if you buy an already used one. Repairing and keeping it working is easy to do. There are a lot of pricy places to repair it. So if you don’t have a bike yet, get one!

Public transportation

Of course, there are also a lot of busses which drive to our campus. When you’re from Nuremberg, you might use 20 (stops directly at station Technische Fakultät) or 30 (stops some minutes away but is faster and is also available after 20 pm). When you go by train until Paul-Gossen-Straße the 280 will bring you here, stopping also directly at station Technische Fakultät. From the inner city 293, 287, 20 and 30 are the right ones for you. For closer information click here. But be aware: Because of traffic busses are often later than expected, so plan some extra time! Your normal ticket allows you to take the bus after 19 pm and on weekends and holidays the whole day. If you plan to go by bus often think of investing in the extra ticket (Zusatzticket)
